Hi, I’m Gaila Behrendt. I grew up on a farm in Wisconsin, where my brother and I spent our days inventing stories we’d act out until the stars came out. Looking back, I think that’s where it all began—my love of imagination, mystery, and the kind of magic that hides in everyday life.

Of course, life took me in a more practical direction for a while. I got my business degree, built a career in IT, raised a family, and kept the stories tucked away for “someday.” But the thing about stories is, they don’t really go away. They wait.

Now that the kids are grown and the house is quiet, I’m finally ready to see where those stories want to take me. I write about wonder, secrets, and the small sparks of magic that still live in the world—if you know where to look.

And if you ever ask me which conspiracy theories I believe in… well, that’s where the fun begins.
